David Went to Scicon!!!!

Every year the 6th graders in our area go to Scicon for a school. Scicon is an outdoor science and conservation school/camp. Since David has been in a 4th through 6th grade combination special day class for the last 2 1/2 years, he has been begging to go to Scicon with the other kids. This year he finally got to go because he is finally a 6th grader. I sent his camera with him hoping he would use it but wasn't sure he would since he hasn't been wanting to take too many pictures lately. Here are the pictures David took at Scicon. I have no idea how to explain them or describe them because David isn't here to tell me what they are or what he was doing when he took them. Enjoy anyway!

 

 

 

 

Road Trip to the MIND Institute-January 22, 2010

David has been participating in a clinical trial for a medication for Fragile X since October 2009. Every 2 weeks we have to go to The MIND Institute at UC Davis in Sacramento and he has appointments for various cognitive and psychological testing and also a visit with Dr. Lulu Wang to make sure he is healthy and see how he is doing on the meds. On our last trip, David took some pictures with his camera. Initially he wanted to take pictures of a gorgeous rainbow we saw as we were leaving town but he never was able to capture that because he couldn't find his camera in time. Once he did find it, he took some interesting pictures from his seat in the car. At one point, I got very sleepy and needed to pull over and rest for a bit. Apparently he decided to take some pictures of me sleeping and such. So these are just some of his shots of the scenery as we drove and while we were stopped to rest. Enjoy!

P.S. I'd love some feedback on what our readers/viewers think of this blog so far. Would it be better if I broke up the number of pictures into more than one post rather than posting all the pictures for a particular event/day/etc in one? I am trying to narrow down the number of pictures from what he is actually taking but there are still a lot and since this is going to be a way for David to preserve his pictures to look at in the future, I don't want to leave too much out but I also don't want the posts to be too lengthy so that you don't want to look at them. Please leave me some feedback/comments and let me know what you think, any suggestions you have for me, etc. Thanks for looking!
